An excellent opportunity exists for a Health and Safety Officer/Trainer to join the Council’s Health and Safety Unit. You will be required to respond confidently to the health and safety challenges that arise within the Council. As part of the Health and Safety Unit, you will be responsible for assisting the Council to comply with its legal obligations, including the provision of advice on health and safety.
You will have attained, or be willing to train for, a recognised qualification in occupational safety and health, ie. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent. You will possess the skills, knowledge and personal attributes to confidently deliver the Council’s Health and Safety Training Programme. The ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently is essential.
