The Referral & Assessment Team is a front line social work team that carries out statutory social work tasks and court directed work for children and young people within West Berkshire. The work undertaken is short term and can be extremely pressured with the priority being to keep children and young people safe.

Due to the promotion of staff, we now have the following vacancy in the team. This is a permanent position.

Referral & Assessment Team Admin Assistant – Grade C Part Time 18.5 hours per week – Post 03302

This role provides comprehensive and customer focused administrative support service to the R&A team. The post holder will:

- To collect, process, input and maintain highly confidential data to systems, files, records and databases as required, ensuring accuracy and security

- Contribute new ideas to the team and in particular, improving systems and processes

- Develop effective working practices to meet the changing needs of a front line social work team.

You must be committed to the role, be conscientious, discreet, hardworking and organised. You must have excellent knowledge of IT systems and some previous office experience.
