HOUSING REGISTER OFFICER
Housing Operations Team, Social Care Commissioning, Housing and Safeguarding – based in West Street House, West Street, Newbury
Salary F/H £18,430 – £28,172
Full Time 37 hours per week
Would you like to be part of a busy and friendly multi-disciplinary housing team? This post is based in the Housing Operations Team, which is responsible for the Common Housing Register, Choice Based Lettings, housing advice, managing and supporting applicants in temporary accommodation and offering clients comprehensive housing options interviews.
We want to recruit a Housing Register Officer to oversee the administrative team who are responsible for inputting and updating applications for the Common Housing Register, assisting applicants with the Homechoice West Berkshire choice based lettings scheme, handling a range of telephone and face to face enquiries and other general administrative duties.
Ideally, you will have experience of working in a housing setting and have the ability to apply legislation, policy, procedures and good practice when making decisions. You will have good organisational skills and be able to multi-task on a regular basis. The ability to input data accurately is essential, as is a good telephone manner, excellent customer service skills and the ability to work as a member of a team in a busy and pressurised environment. You will need to be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and web-based systems. If you are flexible, organised, a good team worker and able to prioritise your own workload, this role could be for you.
For an informal discussion about this post please contact Cathy Dodson, Housing Options Team Leader, on 01635 519515.
