Welwyn Hatfield is facing a number of interesting challenges. We are currently developing our plans for housing growth including making provision for Gypsy and Traveller pitches.
This role will give you the opportunity to play a vital role in the planning policy team; helping to prepare our background evidence, identify suitable locations for development; drafting policies; and carrying out consultation in connection with our draft Site Allocations document.
You should have a degree in town planning or a related subject together with a postgraduate qualification in planning. You will need to be capable of managing a challenging workload, and be an enthusiastic, creative and supportive professional with experience of planning policy and good all round IT skills.
