We are seeking enthusiastic, committed and well organised team player to join our Revenues Team in delivering a professional and exceptional service to the public. You will carry out inspections of domestic and commercial / non domestic properties in connection with the collection and enforcement of Council Tax and Business Rates respectively and update the core system accordingly.
You will be required to:
- work alone so must be self-motivated and have the necessary skills to deal with all types of residents or businesses.
- liaise with developers and builders to identify new buildings and changes to properties that affect Council Tax & Business Rate
- act professionally and tactfully at all times particularly where a conversation may become confrontational; either defusing the situation or retiring to remove exposure to risk
Ideally you will have previous experience of working within a customer focused Revenues environment and possess a good working knowledge of current legislation as it applies to Council Tax and Non Domestic Rates collection. However, full training will be provided where necessary.
You must be reliable, confident and able to manage your own workload and work under pressure. You will have experience of dealing with customers and have excellent customer care skills. You must be able to drive and hold a full driving license with access to a car to conduct the daily visits.
