2 FULL TIME POSTS – 37 HOURS PER WEEK

Working on a rotational shift pattern

£33,128 – £36,676 pa plus 14% shift allowance, additional weekend working allowance and Essential Car User allowance.

Suffolk Coastal Port Health Authority is the part of Suffolk Coastal District Council which operates the Border Inspection Post at the Port of Felixstowe, Britain’s largest container port. The Port Health team is multi-disciplinary and is responsible for a range of functions including:

  • Veterinary checks on products of animal origin imported from non EU countries
  • Inspection of all other foodstuffs imported from non EU countries
  • Control of infectious diseases

We are looking for a suitably qualified veterinary surgeon to join the team to work with our existing OVS’s in dealing with veterinary checks on imports of products of animal origin.

You must be a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, the professional membership fees of which will be paid.
