We are seeking to recruit a Family Intervention Officer to work directly with families, schools, housing, community safety, and other statutory and non-statutory partner agencies to ensure improved and sustainable outcomes for children, young people and parent/carers.
You will provide/coordinate assessed levels of support to those identified perpetrators with chaotic lives, and assist them to make positive changes to their lives. These families/individuals being identified through the work of the Anti Social Behaviour Unit and/or through Suffolk Family Focus (Troubled Families Initiative). You will also provide a level of support to vulnerable victims of Anti Social Behaviour in the form of telephone contact or visits, depending on level of support required, to offer reassurance and relevant updates.
Applicants must have experience of working with the public sector, and in particular with vulnerable families and victims. Good communication skills, knowledge of anti social behaviour legislation, ICT skills and the ability to write reports and minute meetings are essential.
A check through the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required for this post and it is also essential that you hold a current driving licence.
