Fixed Term – immediate start and ending on 10th August 2014
We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. The post involves undertaking the full range of duties carried out by the Food and Safety Team. You will be working as part of a team to ensure that all premises are inspected as required and service requests are dealt with according to the team’s service standards.
The candidate will be a fully qualified environmental health officer; have experience of investigating complaints and service requests and inspecting premises, with an in depth knowledge of associated legislation. The ideal candidate will be registered as a tutor to deliver the CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering.
We are looking for someone who is a good team player, flexible, has excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work under minimal supervision, maintain accurate and up to date computer records. Experience in using UNIform will be an advantage; however, training will be given if necessary. You will need to be enthusiastic and self motivated and passionate about delivering high quality customer service. The postholder will be expected to liaise with colleagues to provide cover within the flexible working arrangements.
The post is based at Woodbridge.
Please note that this appointment is for an Environmental Health Officer as illustrated within the attached career graded job description. Any appointment will be made within the spinal column point range 34-41 (£28,922 – £34,894 pro rata).
