We are committed to excellent and innovative service delivery and are looking for 2 enthusiastic, motivated Benefit Officers to join our team.
You will also want to be part of a team dedicated to providing first class customer service, be flexible, self motivated and know the importance of working as part of a team whilst being able to work on your own initiative.
You will accurately assess all types of claims for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support, correctly inputting data into our Processing and Document Imaging systems.
Whilst this role is mainly office based processing claims, you may also be required to assist customers either by telephone or face to face. Whilst experience in a Benefit related environment is an advantage, the ability to input data accurately and to learn complex rules and regulations is more important. Full training and development will be provided.
We are looking to recruit at either our Suffolk Coastal District Council offices at Woodbridge or Waveney District Council offices at Lowestoft. Please state in your application form at which site you would prefer to be based.
These posts will be on a six month contract with a possible extension to 12 months
