We are seeking a Project Manager to lead on the creation of economic growth both within and from the area covered by the Lowestoft Lake Lothing and Outer Harbour Area Action Plan (AAP). The position forms part of the authorities combined Economic Development and Regeneration Team and is supported by a dedicated Project Support Officer. You will be responsible for development and implementation of projects and activities designed to meet the aspirations and policies contained within the AAP.
You will ideally have experience of economic development or regeneration within the public sector, or of working in a similar role within a commercial environment. Knowledge of community development and of community partnerships is desirable. Good project management skills are important and experience of delivering grant funded projects or of preparing bids will be advantageous. You will have strong communication skills, particularly as the role involves the building of relationships with partner agencies, businesses and potential funders throughout the Waveney district.
The role is to be delivered in partnership with all relevant public/private sector teams, agencies and stakeholders. The role involves some travel across the district, occasional need to attend evening meetings and potentially some weekend working.
