Direct Payments Team Due to the increase of Direct Payments within the Borough of Reading, the following vacancy is from a Direct Payment Service User wishing to recruit a Personal Assistant.
What are Direct Payments? Direct payments give individuals money in lieu of social care services. This allows people to have greater choice and control over their lives, and are able to make their own decisions about how their care is delivered. This gives the Direct Payment Service User more flexibility in how services are provided, giving people choice and control over their own care.
Are you interested in working with people with a physical disability? Do you enjoy a varied role? Are you adaptable to a changing routine?
We are looking for a Personal Assistant to be employed by one of our female clients for personal care at weekends and for attending a leisure centre on a weekday. A calm, flexible approach is necessary together with good communication skills for this role.

Please see job description for rate of pay.
