Reading Central Library, situated in the town centre, is the largest in the borough covering four floors situated in the town centre. We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic staff with excellent communication skills and good ICT and numeracy skills. Applicants must be able to work well individually, as part of a team and under pressure.
Duties will be issuing library stock, answering enquiries, joining new members, and helping customers access IT facilities across all floors.
Lifting and carrying is a requirement although trolleys are provided.Applicants will be based at the Central Library but will need to be prepared to work at any Reading Borough Library, sometimes with short notice, to cover staff absences.
