We are looking for a well motivated individual to join our small team of Investigators, within the Councils Corporate Investigation Team.

The team is responsible for investigations of alleged Fraud against the Council including;

  • Housing Benefit
  • Housing tenancy
  • Social Care
  • Blue Badge
  • Internal.

You will be also visiting clients, in their own homes, gathering information reviewing cases files interviewing under PACE preparing cases for Criminal prosecutions, keeping accurate records and report writing.

Ideally, you will have some up to date experience in Public sector Fraud Any relevant investigation qualifications would be advantageous.

Investigation skills, attention to detail will be a priority along with personal integrity and the confidence to interview in stressful situations. The ability to utilise most P.C based applications including Excel, Word and report writing tools will be desirable.

You also need to have some working knowledge of computerise data matching and data handling systems. Also be able to perform to tight deadlines and to work as part of a team.

Due to the nature of this work you may be required to work outside normal office hours on occasion.
