We are looking for someone to join our team at Berkshire Record Office. The Record Office is managed by Reading Borough Council on behalf of the 6 district councils in Berkshire, and is based in a purpose-built building a short walk from Reading town centre. It holds the county’s historic archives, dating from the 12th century.
Our archives assistants are responsible for helping with day-to-day public access, collections support and some administrative tasks. You will need to be good at listening, good at communicating complex information and have an eye for detail and discovery.
