We are embarking on an ambitious regeneration programme for Maidenhead with major investment taking place ahead of the arrival of Crossrail in 2019. Voted Thames Valley Town of the Year 2014, work has started on the Waterways project and the Council is committed to bringing forward eight key town centre development sites with an end value in excess of £1bn.
To deliver our exciting plans, we are seeking to appoint two new Regeneration Managers who will have responsibility for project managing many of our schemes. These projects range from managing external Development Manager Consultancy Teams to co-ordination of Public Realm improvements. You will help develop our long term strategy to maximise financial, economic and social benefits for our local communities. The Council has other initiatives both in Windsor and Ascot which will also form part of the role.
The Council is a significant land owner in many of the regeneration opportunities and ideally, you will be a Chartered Surveyor or have substantial equivalent experience. You will be expected to use your personal drive and credibility to strengthen and develop positive working relationships with our consultancy teams, senior management and elected members. Relevant experience in property is necessary (public sector experience is not essential), combined with a target-driven approach and the ability to work closely within multidisciplinary teams.
Reporting to the Regeneration & Property Service Lead, you will be in a newly created post working within a small but friendly team.
If you have a proven track record of delivering large-scale property regeneration projects and are ready to be part of the Royal Borough’s exciting future, we want to hear from you.
To discuss this opportunity in confidence, please call Mark Shephard, Regeneration and Property Service Lead on 01628 796082.
