We are looking for a supervisor to take responsibility for the daily operation of Cookham Library. Key aspects of the role include supervision of a team of staff and volunteers, attractive presentation of stock, partnership working, and ensuring that premises remain safe and in a good state of repair.
You will be required to contribute to projects and income-generating activity. You will have sufficient skills and experience to promote awareness of electronic resources, to assist customers in the use of ICT facilities and to deliver staff training. The role includes housekeeping and administrative duties. Being able to demonstrate a commitment to putting residents first will be an added advantage.
You will need to have good customer care skills with an interest in reading.
We are looking for applications from candidates who are committed to continuous improvement and lean working. A flexible approach is essential. The scope of the work is physical in nature with staff required to remain on their feet for long periods of time. You may be required to work at any location in the Borough.
