This Team is the first point of contact from members of the public or other agencies regarding children and families in Northamptonshire. It involves advice giving and signposting and referring on to local social care teams where appropriate. The post also involves giving advice and assistance to Family Support Workers on the team and gathering information to enable decisions to be made regarding the need for social care input. There is no face to face contact with children and families but the post entails telephone and written contact with a wide variety of callers including parents and young people requiring advice and assistance. You will need to be confident in dealing with telephone enquiries and using electronic recording systems. This post is subject to enhanced CRB clearance, and GSCC registration.
