How It Works
The Temporary Register operates as an in-house bureau able to supply the Council with administrative staff on an “ad hoc short term, as required” basis. It provides services to departments that are located throughout Northamptonshire.
Departments contact the Temporary Register administrator when a temporary position needs filling with details of the hours, location, approximate duration of the job and a list of the skills required. The Temporary Register administrator matches the skills of candidates on the Register to the job on offer and contacts suitable candidates to discuss the role and their availability in more detail.
The type of jobs within the register are varied administrative roles to cover short-term holidays, sickness and/or while the department recruits a new member of staff.
There are two roles on the Temporary Register namely:
- Administrative Assistant Level 1
- Administrative Assistant Level 2
Once on the Register you could be offered assignments at either level, dependent on business requirements and your skills and experience.
Job descriptions, Personal Specifications and rate of pay for each role can be found below.
