The primary role of the practitioner will be to provide treatment based stop smoking support programmes from a variety of health and community settings using a wide range of interventions.
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate high levels of inter-person skills, experience in the tailoring and delivery of treatment support programmes. Previous experience of supporting smokers to quit. Accreditation as an NCSCT Stage 2 Stop Smoking Cessation Practitioner would be advantageous. Candidate with a proven background in a health or addictive behaviour field with suitable transferable skills will be considered subject to undertaking specific to role training and becoming an accredited Stage 2 Smoking Cessation Practitioner within probationary period.
