Working in a newly created team this role will be responsible for researching, developing and revising HR policies, procedures and practices that take account of the changing needs of the council, legislation and best practice. Ideally CIPD qualified you will need a sound knowledge of employment law, be able to respond confidently and knowledgably with minimum guidance and have strong project management and IT skills. You will also need excellent communication and influencing skills to improve awareness and understanding of HR procedures across the council and have the ability to consult with Trades Unions and other stakeholders to deliver results.
