Available from December 2012, a rare opportunity exists for a motivated and energetic Principal Social Worker to manage our recently Ofsted inspected “Outstanding” Adoption Team. This is an exciting time in Adoption with challenges and opportunities arising from the Government’s Action Plan: Tackling Delay.
The successful applicant would manage an experienced and fully staffed team of six dedicated social workers who carry out a range of adoption related tasks. You will have a significant role in liaising with partner agencies and teams promoting a shared understanding of the adoption task and driving best practice.
Working as part of a wider Management Team, with the Service Manager and Principal Social Worker: Fostering, you would have a wide knowledge of Adoption and be used to working in a regulated setting with the legislative requirements this entails.
