We are seeking to appoint casual assistants to work as and when required in the Discovery Centre Cafeteria. Training and development will be available to support you in a customer service and catering role. You will need to have experience, knowledge and an interest in working with the public.
Responsibilities will include; cooking, preparation of light refreshments, stock rotation/replenishment, washing pots, cleaning a full range of commercial catering equipment, utensils and work areas, prepare and clear designated dining areas (including the moving, setting up and storage of furniture and equipment), customer care, routine enquiries, light cleaning and tidying duties.
Applicants should have a dynamic, flexible and reliable approach to be able to meet the challenges of a fast paced and demanding environment. Excellent communication skills are required to engage effectively with the community and public to develop positive relationships.
