Casual Fishing Heritage Centre Café Assistant

Location:Alexandra Dock, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, DN31 1UZ

We are seeking to appoint casual assistants to work as and when required at the Fishing Heritage Centre. You will be expected to support one or more of these areas; reception, gift shop or cafeteria. Training and development will be available to support you in a customer service role. You will need to have experience, knowledge and an interest with working with the public, history and heritage.

Responsibilities will include; customer care, routine enquiries, reception duties, to prepare and serve light refreshments, replenishing of shelves and display areas, to assist in the promotion of the service by participating in organised events and exhibitions and distribution of leaflets and posters, light cleaning and tidying duties.

Applicants should have a dynamic, flexible and reliable approach to be able to meet the challenges of a fast paced and demanding environment. Excellent communication skills are required to engage effectively with the community and public to develop positive relationships.
