We have an immediate temporary vacancy for an Early Years/SEN teaching assistant with NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent and preferably with some experience of supporting pupils with behavioural and social communication difficulties, to work in our friendly, inclusive and well-equipped school.
Working hours will be from 8.30 until 3.30pm with half hour lunch break each day Monday to Friday, term time only, plus five staff development days starting Monday 3rd June if possible.
The successful candidate will be expected to work under the overall direction of the SENCo and Headteacher supporting pupil learning both directly and indirectly. Good communication skills, an empathy for young people, the ability to work as part of a team and willingness to undertake training towards self development are essential to this role. Early Years’ experience or qualification is preferred and empathy for challenging pupils is essential.
