Lordswood Children’s Centre is looking to recruit a full time Administrative Assistant to join our Community team. Working in the Chatham area we are looking for someone who is keen to play a vital role in helping to create real positive changes for our families, improving the quality of life for young children and their families.
Our ideal candidate will have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, hold GCSE Mathematics and English with a minimum of ‘C’ grade and possess a confident and friendly telephone manner. A good knowledge and experience of working with database packages would be desirable. Office administration experience is an essential requisite for this post, preferably in a school or Children’s Centre setting, and the applicant should be flexible, adaptable, efficient and able to work on their own initiative with a good sense of humour.
The successful candidate will also be the first point of contact for local families and professionals visiting the Centre and should therefore possess the ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with children, families and professionals.
Candidates will be requested to undertake an administrative task as part of the interview process.
An offer of appointment is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure.
