In this key role, you will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality responsive maintenance service, within a busy and sometimes demanding environment. Reporting to the Property Services Manager, you will help deliver the regions reactive repairs service and will be responsible for 4 Property Services Surveyors. You will also be required to provide technical surveying
advice and support to other departments.
You will be from a surveying or building maintenance background and hold a Degree/ HNC in a building related subject. Preferably, you will also hold CIOB or RICS membership. You should have a proven track record of overseeing repairs and maintenance contracts using a schedule of rates and extensive experience of managing the performance of contractors.
You will be familiar with managing departmental maintenance budgets, ensuring that value for money is achieved, in line with policy and procedure. You will have a working knowledge of the legal disrepair process and the Housing Health and Safety Rating System. You will be liaising with residents, contractors and other key stakeholders and therefore you should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to high levels of customer service.
It is essential for this post that you are a car owner/driver.
