This role L&Q will be celebrating 50 years of achievement andsetting out ambitious plans for our next 50 years. We continue tobe dedicated to fulfilling our social mission to create places where peoplewant to live and maintaining our financial strength.

L&Q manages over 68,000 homes across the capital and the South East,regenerates communities throughout the region and is one of London’s largestdevelopers of new homes. We currently have a vacancy in ourStrategy & Operations division and we need your help to shape services thatprovide excellent services to our customers.

This is a key appointment, leadingteams responsible for supporting high quality services, by delivering agreedresearch, service improvement and policy development programmes, as well assupporting the business through improving the quality of information we holdabout our homes and customers.

You will need to quickly establish yourown personal and professional credentials, demonstrating a strong ability todeliver agreed outputs and working collaboratively to ensure that workprogrammes remain aligned with business objectives, performance goals and ouroperating environment. A housingbackground is not considered essential, but the successful candidate will possessan understanding of what we do and possess the capability to quickly acquire indepth knowledge of our operations, the sector and service environment in whichwe work.

To take advantage of this opportunityyou will need to demonstrate experience of managing service improvement /research programmes in a similarly challenging business environment and have astrong track record of supporting the development and implementation ofstrategy.

The successful candidate will have /possess:-

  • Strong experience of delivering improvement / policy / research programmes
  • Ability to set, review and agree strategic objectives for managed workareas
  • An understanding of delivering value to the end customer through thedelivery of quality, cost effective, services
  • A good understanding of the impact of data quality on service delivery
  • The capability to motivate teams to deliver against demanding objectives
  • Strong organisation and planning skills at a strategic level
  • Ability to manage projects / work programmes in a challenging businessenvironment
  • Clear understanding of business drivers and their relationship to theoperation of services on the ground
  • A strong ability to listen, negotiate, challenge and influence
  • Excellent ability to communicateat all levels of management
  • Be innovative.
