When you look for a new employer, choose somewhere that cares as much about its staff as it does about its customers. Like L&Q. For eight years running now, we have been listed by the Sunday Times as one of the top 100 companies to work for in the UK. While we’re very proud, it only confirms what our staff have known for ages, that we have long placed a strong emphasis on staff training, welfare and development. L&Q is a charitable housing association offering people the chance to buy or rent homes throughout London and the South of England.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a flexible and enthusiastic person to join the finance division as Head of Financial Operations reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller. You will have the overall responsibility of financial processes and controls existing in the L&Q Group.
To take advantage of this opportunity you need to be self-motivated and be able to meet the following criteria:
• A qualified accountant;
• Have a resilient, flexible approach to work. You must be prepared to turn your hand to support other requirements if needed, while ensuring that the core internal control and process responsibilities are maintained;
• Able to motivate and achieve results through others;
• Excellent communication and reporting skills demonstrated through presenting to Executives/Board and/or audit committee;
• Experience in auditing or implementing internal control framework with strong awareness of operational risk & controls disciplines, key risk indicators relevant to internal controls and a business-focused approach to controls; and
• Experience in due diligence work.
