  • Waltham Forest, Greater London

Working pattern:Full Time, Permanent position

Hours:36

Salary:£33,510 - £38,961

DBS check:No

Location:47 Gainsford Road, Walthamstow E17

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to hold a complex caseload and provide professional leadership and support to a team of qualified and unqualified staff within the Adult Assessment and Care Management service.

Waltham Forest is an outer London Borough & bears many similarities to an Inner London Borough. The post involves working with residents across the borough; the office is currently based in the central area of the borough. You will be a member of the operational management team delivering the key strategic aims of the organization and ensuring that people receive a high quality service.

The Enablement and Care team is responsible for all the complex social care assessments and casework and the scheduled and unscheduled reviews for all Waltham Forest residents with a service. Personalisation of services and integration with Health is the driving force behind this service. It gives individuals the choice and control over how their service is delivered and for people with long term conditions the opportunity to draw on their own resources, as well as those available through Health, to meet their needs in the best way possible. We are fully committed to providing services through Personal Budgets and Self-Directed Support and the post also involves safeguarding adults and the supervision of Best Interest Assessors.

Ideally you should have a proven track record of delivering quality work and demonstrating continuing professional development. It is desirable that you would have completed either the PQ1 or PQ2, and have had at least 4 years post qualification experience.

We provide staff with managed caseloads, regular supervision, training, annual appraisal and career development as opportunities arise.

Please contact either Julie Ferriday or Juliet Findlay for an informal discussion on tel: 020 8496 1835 or 020 8496 3435

It is anticipated that the interview & presentation dates will be 26th/27th July 2012.
