Location:Newport School Newport Road, Leyton, London, E10 6PJ
Due to the retirement of a long serving, highly valued member of staff, Newport School is looking for a highly motivated and efficient candidate to join our highly effective Leadership Team. We are able to offer a term’s handover working alongside the present incumbent, before they retire at the end of August 2012.
36hrs per week, 52 weeks per year
PO5 Pt 44 £38,961 – Pt 47 £41,610 pro-rata
Newport School is currently 3 forms of entry (consulting on permanent expansion to 4 forms) with a 52 FT equivalent place nursery and a Children Centre.
The main duties of the post include:-
- All Human Resources matters including recruitment, safeguarding, payroll, etc;
- Managing and monitoring School & Children Centre budgets;
- All School administration procedures;
- Management of the premises and H&S issues;
- Liaison with School Meals catering provider;
- Line management of relevant staff.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, organised and committed to obtaining best value for our pupils They must have significant knowledge and understanding of all aspects of financial management within schools, experience of dealing with personnel issues and the ability to oversee Health and Safety, premises and administrative functions within the School.
This position is part of the Senior Leadership team of Newport School and requires working closely with the Headteacher, Governors and the whole School community.
