(pro rata) according to experience Hours:30 per week, 45.6 weeks per year Working pattern:Part Time, Term Time, Temporary position Location:Joseph Clarke School for Visual Impairment and Complex Needs, Vincent Road, Highams Park, London E4 9PP Closing date:11/07/2008 16:00 PM The contract will be for 1 term, up to December 2008, subject to review. Joseph Clarke School is a Day Community Special School that caters for pupils with a visual impairment and complex needs. The age range is from 2½ years (Nursery) to 19 years (Secondary). We are looking to appoint an energetic Learning Support Assistant to work in our Primary Department. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate good previous experience of working with and/or caring for children. Experience of working with children with special educational needs is not essential, but you must possess the personal qualities and skills that will support and encourage pupils with learning difficulties. You will also need to have good communication and organisational skills, be proficient in the use of ICT and able to work on your own initiative. As a Learning Support Assistant you will work alongside teaching staff, in one-to-one or small group situations helping pupils with their work, independence and daily living skills.
