Job vacancy detailsHearing Support AssistantEmployer:London Borough of Waltham Forest Reference:1104/50041285/CYPS Salary:£16,848 per annum (pro rata) Hours:36 per week; 45.6 weeks per year Working pattern:Full Time, Term Time, Permanent position Location:Service for Deaf & Hearing Impaired Children, Hawkeswood Site, Antlers Hill, Chingford, London E4 7RT Closing date:11/07/2008 23:30 PM Permanent, full-time post for a Hearing Support Assistant to work in the service across the primary and secondary age ranges. The service supports deaf and hearing impaired children in mainstream schools across the borough and at three resource bases (one each at Cann Hall Primary School, Whitehall Primary School and Heathcote Secondary School). In the first instance, the post is to support students at Heathcote Secondary School but there may be some opportunities to work at primary level both now and in the future. As caseloads change annually, the person appointed will be required to support children across the age ranges in mainstream primary and secondary schools. Experience/qualifications in sign language are desirable but not essential and full training will be provided.
