Arboricultural Assistant

Salary:£20,595 - £22,428 per annum, plus casual car user allowance 

Hours:36 per week  

Working pattern:Full Time, Permanent position 

Location:Low Hall Depot, Argall Avenue, Leyton, London, E10 7AS

An exciting career opportunity has arisen within our recently reorganised Public Realm Division. We are seeking to appoint an Arboricultural Assistant to work in our busy, and progressive Arboricultural Team.

Reporting to the Arboricultural Manager, you will deal with tree enquiries, undertake tree inspections/surveys, prepare contract specifications, order and oversee contracted tree works, prepare tree planting programmes, assist with Tree Preservation Orders, compile and maintain tree survey computer databases and contribute to a varied range of projects that the team are involved with.

You should:

· Hold a minimum of a National Certificate in Arboriculture or equivalent, whilst a National Diploma in Arboriculture or equivalent would be desirable

· Have a minimum of one years’ arboricultural experience working in a local authority tree office or as a foreman, supervising arborist or tree inspector.
