Licensing Officer

£25,515-£37,851 Depending on experience and qualification + 10% enhancement for out of hours working + essential car user allowance.

We want to appoint a Licensing Officer to join our busy Licensing Team and help us implement the range of responsibilities we now have under the legislation we deal with. Licensing has a high profile in Lambeth and we intend to capitalise on our new responsibilities under the Licensing Act 2003.

We are a very diverse community and this is reflected in the nature of the work the Licensing Team carry out throughout the borough. We are looking for someone who has:

• Significant knowledge of licensing legislation, particularly the Licensing Act 2003 and Gambling Act 2005;

• Experience of local authority licensing enforcement work in a diverse environment;

• The ability to communicate well at all levels, both verbally and in writing;

• An awareness of the issues that face licensing.

Applicants should possess a licensing qualification or a similar level qualification and evidence of significant licensing experience.
