This is an exciting new job within the Maintenance Services team where you will be responsible for managing the delivery of the gas servicing contracts through external contractors, to ensure full compliance with legislative and regulatory compliance across L&Q’s housing stock.
You will work closely with the Gas Services Manager and services surveyor colleagues together with the technical administrative team to ensure that L&Q achieve 100% receipt of valid CP12 gas safety certificates. You will make a real difference developing an effective, efficient and responsive management process to support L&Q’s corporate objective of achieving Operational Excellence.
You will have expert knowledge in the servicing, repair and replacement of gas installations. You will be required to manage the contracts of the external contractors who are engaged to carry out the gas serving contracts. You will monitor the progress of the gas contracts; identify issues and action remedial measures to ensure high level contract compliance and resident satisfaction. You will also need to demonstrate an understanding of performance management to ensure that quality and value for money is achieved at all times.
It is essential that you are a first class communicator with experience of working with a variety of different stakeholders. You will be able to liaise effectively with contractors, residents, solicitors, and our own technical and administrative staff. You will need practical experience of managing gas and have a detailed understanding of best practice in the delivery of annual gas safety certificates. You will need to be computer literate and be able input and retrieve data from computer management systems. You will possess a relevant technical qualification.
You will need a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle on a daily basis as this role requires the post holder to be mobile (travelling to various sites).
