Introduction
We are seeking an experienced Road Safety manager to take forward the council’s ambitious Road Safety Strategy and work programme. You will ensure that these activities contribute to the success of the Council’s wider transport strategy and associated projects taking a lead role on developing partnership working with other key partners.
Vacancy detail
You will lead an experienced team to delivering a high quality; customer focused service and make the most effective use of resources. You will manage and develop the road safety functions which include education, training and promotional services; school travel planning; school crossing patrols, cycle and pedestrian infrastructure. You will also provide expert advice to Councillors, senior officers and members of the public on a range of Road Safety issues as well as a number of other transport related projects such as LSTF and LTP capital projects as well as direct client functions on road safety capital engineering projects. Contract: Full-time, Permanent – 37 hours per week Relocation expenses (up to £10,000) are available for this post.
