We are looking at other ways to better ourselves – which is where you come in as our Revenues and Benefits Team Leader.
Our Revenues and Benefits Service is critical to our future success as it facilitates the billing and collection of council tax and business rates of over £240m. We also assess benefit claims, investigate fraud and recover debts. – ensuring we achieve positive outcomes in a sensitive way.
As part of the management team, you will supervise a sizeable team that is responsible for Housing Benefit and Council Tax support assessments, as well as the billing of Council Tax. You will set high standards, ensuring all work is done in an accurate and efficient manner and complies with legislation and broader policies. You will also get involved with the management of the team, by recruiting, developing and motivating them to perform at their best.
Ideally you will already have supervisory experience in a revenues and benefits environment, with significant relevant experience. A background in performance management and quality assurance will also be essential as will your excellent communication, numeracy and analytical skills.
