Resident Scrutiny Co - ordinator

We are currently recruiting Resident Scrutiny Co-ordinator to join our successful Strategic Engagement Team to help deliver the best housing services in Tower Hamlets by 2014. By 2014 we will:

• achieve the highest rate of resident satisfaction
• have the highest performance for the money we spend
• ease overcrowding through reducing under-occupation and illegal sub-letting by a third
• have a workforce that reflects the community we serve through creating opportunities for BME staff and Women staff to progress into more senior positions.

This post is aimed at developing and delivering effective resident scrutiny by co-ordinating all operational aspects of the resident panel and other residents groups. The postholder will need to develop a proactive approach to co-regulation, achieving value for money and ensuring effective resident scrutiny and an outcome based approach to resident involvement. This postholder will uphold the empowerment of the resident panel, Service Improvement Groups and service users to play an active role in shaping and scrutinising Tower Hamlets Homes services.

You will be driven by a desire to improve processes, listen to stakeholders and deliver good customer care and value for money. You will have robust interpersonal skills, able to develop effective links with other housing providers. You will have knowledge and understanding of co-regulation policies and the importance of resident scrutiny. You will also have strong project management skills to follow-up and carry forward multiple strands of activity concurrently, and to commission and manage the work of other THH staff or third parties.
