Salary: £41,613 to £44,271 p.a.inclusive of London Weighting

The Role

Brent is alive with opportunity – it is one of the most diverse boroughs in the country with a number of high profile regeneration schemes under way and a reputation for providing high quality planning services. Following the approval of our Core Strategy and Site Specific Proposals, work is now progressing on an ambitious Area Action Plan for Wembley where development of the lands surrounding Wembley Stadium is already being delivered, including a new Civic Centre that is due to open in early 2013. To help strengthen our team to meet this challenge we are seeking suitable candidates for the service.

We are looking for an experienced and innovative planning project officer to develop the Community Infrastructure Levy and Section 106 function of our Planning and Development Unit. We are working towards the introduction of CIL at the beginning of 2013 and recently published our Draft Charging Schedule. A key challenge for the postholder will be to ensure that obligations are properly met and money spent, and this will include the development of proposals and projects and their implementation.
