Applications are invited for the above post to work in a challenging and busy environment within the Revenues & Benefits recovery team.

You will work as part of a small team responsible for the collection and recovery of Council Tax and Business Rates and you will also be responsible for monitoring accounts and payment arrangements. As you will be expected to work with minimum supervision, you should have previous experience of working in a revenues office, including dealing directly with bailiffs and you will need a good working knowledge of the legislation. Experience of using the Northgate I World computer system would be an advantage.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to deal with difficult situations in a tactful and assertive manner are essential. You will also need to be well-organised and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Applicants should possess G.C.S.E standard or equivalent for Mathematics and English Language.
