21 hours per week – Two week Rota:
Week One
Mon: Off
Tue: 10-7
Wed: 1-5
Thu: Off
Fri: Off
Sat: 9-4
Week Two:
Mon: 1-5
Tue: 10-7
Wed: 9-1
Thu: Off
Fri: 9-6
Sat: Off
As well as replacing stock on the shelves and keeping the library in good order, the job involves using the library computer system to control the circulation of library stock and give information.
Good computer skills in packages such as MS Office will be important, along with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards training and personal development from induction onwards. Applicants should also be interested in working with children and participating in story and rhyme activities.
Staff may be asked to change work patterns to cover for sickness etc, so you will also need a flexible approach. Literate, numerate and able to work under pressure, you must also be a good team player and, above all, committed to delivering high quality customer care.
