At Home with Housing Law?
We are looking for a problem-solving housing or legal professional to provide specialist legal support to our housing officers and credit controllers. You’ll manage a varied caseload, giving advice on issues such as anti-social behaviour, tenancy breaches, disrepair and rent recovery. You’ll also represent us in court and instruct solicitors and barristers where required. You will also project manage all lease expiry cases to gain vacant possession by given deadlines, ensuring you adhere to all legal protocols.
To do the job well you’ll need up-to-date knowledge of housing legislation, ideally supported by an understanding of related areas of civil and criminal law. Your organisational skills and pragmatic approach will help you to find solutions that work for our customers whilst always meeting your budget and deadline.
Please note that this is a fixed term position to cover a secondment until May 2013.
Interviews and tests for this role are planned for the week commencing 6 August; candidates who are successful at interview and technical test will be invited to an Assessment Centre on 21 August 2012.
