Lecturer A in Live Sound Engineering 0.4 FTE

The post holder will be involved in teaching and assessing on music programmes across all levels of qualifications offered within the school, including HE, FE and full cost programmes. Your area of expertise will be in live sound engineering and music production, and will support the development of these skills within the section and the wider school. You will bring contemporary knowledge and experience of current practice within industry which will support the teaching and tutorial process.

As a lecturer you will be part of the music subject team, working closely with the Team Leader and Course Leader to teach, assess and moderate course content to ensure a high quality student experience is delivered. You will be responsible for monitoring attendance, retention and achievement and learner support, creating learning materials and assessing. You will carry out assessments, tutorials and moderation in line with curriculum and quality requirements.

The successful candidate will have industry experience and a degree level academic/vocational qualification in a relevant curriculum area, a teaching qualification (or working towards one) and be a member of the Institute for Learning (IfL). Your hours of work will be flexible and may include evening and weekends according to student demand.
