We have a vacancy for a Land Charges Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of property searches, including personal searches, Environmental Information requests, maintaining the Land Charges Register, promoting the Land Charges service to customers, and processing ‘assets of community value’ requests.

The Land Charges Officer is a key role in a small team. We are looking for a self -motivated person with excellent organisational skills along with the ability to prioritise their work to meet deadlines. You will also be expected to contribute positively to the Building Control Team and provide them with support during busy times. You should also be able to use your own initiative to solve problems and contribute to service delivery improvements.

The successful candidate must also have excellent verbal and written communication and IT skills, being able to use Microsoft Office or equivalent, Total Land Charges and GIS or equivalents, with the ability to carry out map and data based searches of planning case histories.
