Ref: 1762 This post will play a key role in supporting the dynamic change agenda within Adult Care Services.  The post holder will be involved in a full range of departmental HR activities including, absence management, employee relations, and supporting restructure and re-organisation of services. In addition the post holder will undertake project and research work. You must have previous experience of working within a busy HR office and advising managers/employees on HR matters. Due to the nature of the service you will also need experience of working in an environment where there are frequently changing priorities. An awareness of the HR issues within social care is desirable and you must have the ability to communicate effectively on all levels, work on your own initiative, and develop innovative solutions to problems. You must be able to handle difficult situations which require high degrees of diplomacy and develop effective partnerships with other agencies. This is a fixed term contract until 25th May 2013, to cover the secondment of the substantive postholder.  There will be no requirement for the successful candidate to undertake their CIPD MSc/PGDip in Human Resource Management and Development, but his opportunity would be ideal for an individual who is part way through their CIPD Course
