We are looking for flexible and creative 1-1 or Home Tutors for immediate start who have an understanding of the needs of disaffected youngsters and those with emotional and behavioural difficulties. The Home Tutor’s role is to provide education to pupils who by reason of illness, exclusion or any other reason are being educated out of school. Our pupils are taught in a variety of locations within the borough, including College Hall, Coopers Hill Youth and Community Centre and their own homes. Pupils are usually between the ages of five and sixteen years and are taught on a part-time basis, usually one-to-one or occasionally in small groups.
Teachers pay and conditions apply to this post.
The post carries a requirement for an enhanced disclosure (under the provisions of the Police Act 1997). The council will require you to give permission to carry out a disclosure check.
