Location:This post is based at Kelham Hall headquarters but travel throughout the district is required. 

An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Environmental Health Officer to work within the Environmental Health and Licensing Business Unit.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to work within the Reactive Team dealing with a wide variety of functions including the investigation of nuisance, accident investigations, food safety inspection and complaints of private sector housing disrepair.

A qualification recognised by the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board is essential as well as the ability to demonstrate effective communication, the ability to analyse and interpret legislation and enforce it in a balanced way. The successful applicant will also demonstrate skills and experience in all aspects of environmental health work.

You will be based at Newark & Sherwood District Council’s offices at Kelham Hall but officers will be required to travel around the district. A mileage allowance will be paid. Flexible working is applicable to this post.
