Energy Advisor

Ensuring that Viridian’s residents live in homes which are affordable to keep warm will be a big challenge if we are to deliver on our target to not only provide quality homes but improve the lives of our residents. Viridian works in partnership with residents, local authorities and other partners to provide homes for over 30,000 people, we strive to deliver real social impact in the South East, London and Midlands.

Your role – alongside the Planning and Investment Manager, will be to develop and deliver training on energy advice to residents groups and Viridian staff. We will also require you to develop and manage energy efficiency works to our homes in greatest need, as well as having a strong understanding of the funding models for works to alleviate fuel poverty. You will be fully involved in planning, budget preparation, and reporting on delivery. You will ensure our services for providing affordable warmth link directly to our corporate social impact aims.

We’re looking for a good knowledge of building construction, as well as experience and understanding of energy efficiency works and training. You will need to be a great communicator to deliver training to staff and residents and inspire internal colleagues and partners to work closely together to tackle fuel poverty. Experience of the social housing sector is desirable.

This role is a 12 month rolling contract.
