Early Years Foundation Stage Team Leader: Inclusion and Early Intervention

Reference: SSC/2418D/JM

Salary: Soulbury 18-20 £54,740 – £56,457+ 2 SPA

Islington is ambitious for all its children, particularly for those who are most likely to have poor outcomes, including children with SEN and disabilities. To improve their life chances and narrow the gap, we want all our early years inclusion, family support and outreach services for young children and their families to be consistently of the highest quality.

To help achieve this, we are looking for someone with an excellent track record in highly quality early years education and care; experience of developing effective multi-agency integrated working; experience of supporting and making a difference to the most vulnerable families, knowledge of children’s centres and early years provision and the challenges they face.

This opportunity is available for a highly experienced early years teacher or graduate with Early Years Professional (EYP) status with a commitment to make a difference for children and families; an ability to lead and contribute creatively to developing strategy and improving practice in a range of areas; excellent interpersonal skills that allow you to lead by example in developing highly effective ways of working with leaders of local institutions, strategic partners, frontline practitioners and families.

You will join a well-established Early Years team of consultants, development workers, training officers and Area Sencos. You will lead the Area Senco team and work closely with a network of Family Support and Outreach Area Managers from children’s centres. The job will be challenging but rewarding.

We look forward to hearing from you.
