Location:Saffron Walden, Essex (but any other Customer Service Centres within the District) 

We are looking for a full-time Customer Service Advisor – 37 hours per week, Monday–Thursday 8.30 am – 5.00 pm and Friday 8.30 am – 4.30 pm.

The post holder will be part of the Customer Service Team, ensuring that as manyenquiries as possible are resolved at the first point of contact to maximise customer satisfaction. Enquiries will bedealt with via the telephone and face-to-face giving advice and assistance on the whole range of District Council services as well as County, Parish, and thelocal community and other partner organisations. Enquiries will be dealt with by using various systems.

We are looking for a good communicator at all levels including telephone, face-to-face and written, who is patient and cheerful and able to work under pressure. Ideally, the candidate will have extensive computer experience (although training will be given). The ability to provide an excellent service to all customers contacting the Council in accordance with the Council’s Customer Care Standards and ensures that a positive image of the Council is conveyed to all customers.

The post holder will be expected to work at any of the Customer Service Centres at Saffron Walden, Great Dunmow and Thaxted therefore, so there is a high demand for the post holder to be flexible as the service will need to be covered during times of holiday etc. A full clean driving licence is essential along with the ability to travel to these areas, often at short notice.
